Pear, Maple, Cranberry and Pecan Stove Top

 

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup/40g Rolled Oats
Pinch of Salt
2/3 Cup Liquid of Choice, I use Almond milk
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
1 Pear, peeled
Handful of Cranberries
Handful of Pecans
1-2 TBSP Maple Syrup

Method:

1. Place the pear into a pot big enough to hold it and cover in water. Bring the water to the boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook till a knife can go through. Drain and slice.
2, Bring the liquid to almost to the boil. Add the oats and turn the heat down to medium.
3. When more of the liquid has absorbed add the vanilla and some maple syrup to taste.
4. When the oats reach a consistency you like pour into a bowl and top with the pear, cranberries, pecans and maple syrup. Enjoy!
