Spiced Orange, Date and Nut Bread
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup.45g Rolled Oats
1/4 Tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
1/8 Tsp Baking Soda
1/2 Tsp Orange Zest
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
1/8 Tsp Nutmeg
Pinch of Clove
3 Gooey Medjool Dates
2-3 TBSP Pecans, roughly chopped
1/4 Cup Orange Juice
1/4 Cup Milk of Choice
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 350F/180C/Gas Mark 4. Grease a ramekin or dish.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients, including zest and pecans. Chop up the dates and mix in. Add the orange juice and milk together TBSP at a time till the oats are wet but not sloppy. Pour into your dish and push some pecans into the top.
3. Bake for 17-20 minutes or till golden and the pecans aromatic. Enjoy!
Orange Cream Cheese Spread:
1-2 TBSP Cream Cheese, I used 1 Dairylea Triangle
3 TBSP Plain yogurt, I use Greek 0%
1 Tsp Maple Syrup or sweetener of choice
1/4 Tsp Orange Zest
Whip all together till smooth.
